UFC Saudi Arabia was a huge success, drawing tens of thousands of fans to see the action inside the Octagon. Pushing Limits: Women in the Octagon

Turkey’s Alalshikh’s request marked a major shift in Saudi Arabia’s approach to the game. Traditionally, female athletes have had limited opportunities to compete openly. The only sports activities allowed for women are physical education classes in public schools, according to the Ministry of Education. However, after the success of UFC Saudi Arabia, Alal Shikh aims to break these norms by featuring female fighters in the next tournament.

The Promise of Dana White

In an interview with Dana White and John Anik after the event, Allashikh revealed his passion and vision for the future. “I don’t think there’s as many fans as this – 12,000 by 1 a.m., and now I’m asking, Dana, next time, we want to do 30,000 here. We are waiting and want women [fighters] in the next combat [action] as well,” Allashikh said. He also confirmed that he appeared at the UFC’s Sphere event on Mexican Independence Day in Las Vegas.

Alalshikh emphasized his ongoing relationship with Dana White and the UFC, pointing to a special event scheduled for September 14 at the Sphere. “She [Dana] promised me it would be a great card [at the next event]. Let’s see. I’m coming to Vegas… Right now, we’re [focusing on] Riyadh’s season with Dana and the UFC We have a big first card of the round on September 14th. We will be together, I was looking forward to it,” he added.

Event Extension: Power Blocks are Coming to Saudi Arabia

Dana White shared his excitement for the future of the UFC in Saudi Arabia. In addition to UFC events, he plans to launch a new fighting game called Power Slap. “We’ll be doing an event here, obviously UFC and Power Slap. The ability to bisect the state next year,” declared White. This expansion highlights the growing relationship between the UFC and Saudi Arabia and their mutual interest in expanding combat sports in the region.

Fans in Riyadh were treated to four impressive finishes, including three knockouts and one submission. Dana White presented a total of $200,000 in prizes to the outstanding performers of the night.
