In a thrilling addition to the upcoming UFC Sao Paulo event, Ismael Bonfim and Vinc Pichel are set to face off in a lightweight bout on November 4th at the iconic Ibirapuera Gymnasium. Both fighters are determined to rebound from their recent losses and put on a show for MMA fans worldwide.
Ismael Bonfim (19-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) aims to bounce back after a disappointing first-round submission loss to Benoit Saint-Denis in July. This defeat ended his impressive 13-fight winning streak, which included a jaw-dropping flying knee knockout against Terrance McKinney in his promotional debut. Adding to the excitement, Bonfim’s brother, Gabriel Bonfim, is also set to compete on the same card against Nicolas Dalby.
On the other side of the octagon, Vinc Pichel (14-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) has not fought since April 2022, when he faced a unanimous decision loss to Mark Madsen. This bout was his only appearance since August 2021. Pichel has an impressive 3-1 record in his last four fights, dating back to June 2019.
Though the UFC has yet to make an official announcement, two anonymous sources with inside knowledge of the matchup have revealed this exciting addition to the UFC Sao Paulo lineup.
