In a tension-filled prelude to UFC Paris, the headliners, Ciryl Gane and Serghei Spivac, smoothly sailed through the weigh-in process. Meanwhile, the former strawweight champion, Rose Namajunas, successfully transitioned to the flyweight division in preparation for her highly anticipated bout against the rising star, Manon Fiorot.

A total of 22 dedicated fighters stepped onto the scales in anticipation of Saturday’s exhilarating event. However, a slight hiccup marred the otherwise flawless weigh-in process when one of the preliminary fighters, Zarah Fairn, missed the mark by half a pound. She was set to compete in a 140-pound catchweight bout against Jacqueline Cavalcanti in the preliminary card opener. Fortunately, officials granted Fairn an additional hour to shed the excess weight, and after medical clearance, she remained eligible to continue her weight-cutting journey.

The stage is set for UFC Paris, scheduled to take place at the Accor Arena in Paris, promising a night of exhilarating matchups. Fans can catch all the action exclusively on ESPN+.

In the highly anticipated main event, former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane tipped the scales at 250 pounds. This marks his return to the octagon since a previous title bid that fell short, with Jon Jones now holding the coveted championship. His formidable opponent, Serghei Spivac, registered a weight of 256 pounds, the heaviest he has ever been in his career. Spivac is riding a wave of success with three consecutive victories, making this showdown a pivotal moment in his journey.

In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas, a former champion, made a significant weight adjustment as she hit the scale spot on at 125 pounds, signaling her debut in the UFC flyweight division. Her adversary, Manon Fiorot, enters the bout with an impressive five-fight winning streak within the octagon, setting the stage for a thrilling clash of talents that promises to captivate fans worldwide.
