The eagerly awaited UFC 304 is almost approaching, and fans are giddy with anticipation. Leon Edwards, the current welterweight champion, will defend his title against Belal Muhammad, the #2 contender. This fight has an additional level of curiosity because of the two’s past.
Muhammad talked about the bout before the main event on the “Weighing In” podcast. Muhammad forewarned Big John McCarthy and Josh “The Punk” Thomson, the hosts, during his address. View the man’s remarks.
A Confident Opponent
Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad squared off for the first time at UFC Fight Night in 2021. Muhammad will have another opportunity to purchase that the seeds are charged at UFC 304, but Edwards’ unintentional eye poke put a stop to the bout in a no-contest. “Remember the Name” is comparable to a man on a mission with a well-thought-out strategy to defeat his foe. He said, “I hope he comes out and tries to get me off,” to Josh Thomson. I hope he shows up and gives it a shot at wrestling.
The 36-year-old is quite confident going into the bout since he has had some great performances inside the Octagon. Not only does he have great boxing skills, but he also has self-confidence in them. “Because, I assure you, I am above that level everywhere,” he continued. I can play it, lay down, and pray even if others tell me otherwise. I can outrun him, I promise you. I had the option to eject him. He has never fought like me, in my opinion of the bout.
Another Threat Arises
One of Muhammad’s training partners, Islam Makhachev, has expressed interest in moving up to the welterweight division. The light heavyweight champion now dominates his current division and has his sights set on a second belt. Muhammad shared his thoughts on this possible move.

Makhachev Welterweight Aspirations
Islam Makhachev has been dominating the lightweight division and has successfully defended his title three times. At this point, the 32-year-old wishes to push himself once further by moving up to the welterweight class. Through this experience, she was able to establish a connection with Belal Muhammad, her training partner. That being said, Muhammad rejected the idea that Makhachev could possibly be his younger brother. But he did alert everyone to Makhachev’s cunning.
Muhammad thanked the Makhachevs
Speaking to ‘The Shmo’ on his YouTube channel, Muhammad spoke about why Makhachev is a threat. “I think he can actually go up to 185 and win the belt,” he said. People don’t realize how big he is, how strong he is and how talented he is. I think if he didn’t have to lose weight, at 185, he could still go out there and beat these guys.” Facing Makhachev remains a distant possibility for Muhammad, who must first win the welterweight title. He needs to be at his best against Edwards, who is a strong and dangerous opponent.
Belal Muhammad’s confidence and determination is palpable as he prepares for UFC 304. Whether he can stand up to his heroics over Leon Edwards remains to be seen. Fans are eagerly awaiting this highly anticipated welterweight clash, which promises to be an exciting match.
