Leading up to UFC 306: Riyadh Season Noche The UFC was set to be one of the most important evenings of the year. This development received more than $20 million to be invested on its success. It has seemed that as the event draws near, though, it has not caught fire as has been anticipated. With only couple of days before the event UFC’s CEO Dana White has to solve one of the most pressing issue – tickets.
In as much as the social event was planned to attract a large turn up it did not even sell the tickets expected. There are still about 3,000 tickets to go and as it is seen, many are yet to be sold off although on a discounted basis. Ticket prices were $3,000 to $12,000 but, there was no demand and the promoters began to reduce the minimum price to $800.
Dana white who was quite determined, now rues having hosted the event. Having pierced the confidence, White agreed and said that he would not do something like this in the future. Anger is visible when the head of the UFC organization sees that his dream did not turn to reality.

However, White’s partner, the Turkish Alalshikh seems to hold optimism in relations to the obstacles above. Alalshikh who has been very active during the Riyadh season decided to calm down fans on X (formerly Twitter) stating that UFC 306’s PPV will not be negatively impacted. He tweeted, “Riyadh season card ppv Will be its good value for the fans,” amid the storm.
This has been made worse by the boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez who is gearing up for a fight against Edgar Berlanga on the same date. Alvarez fight has received much attention, which is likely to overshadow UFC 306 event. The conflicting dates have brought out a lot of confusion on the PPV sales and Alvarez is no joke as his rival.
White originally hoped to raise $25-$27 million out of the gate, an ambitious goal that now appears to be on the rise. This isn’t the first time White’s plans for a big event have hit hurdles, but the hurdles surrounding UFC 306 have hit particularly hard. The promotion’s decision to hold the event at the Sphere, a brand new venue in Las Vegas, was not without its challenges.
Field: Provision Born out of Conflict
The UFC did not initially select The Sphere for UFC 306. The UFC had built a solid rapport with T-Mobile Arena over the years, thus that was the original planned location for the event. But UFC President Dana White had to look elsewhere after an abrupt disagreement with MGM Resorts International, the owner of T-Mobile Arena. White voiced his dissatisfaction with the state of affairs during a recent press conference, saying, “We went there last year.” Our date from the previous year was taken away from us without our consent or conversation. White was initially barred from using the T-Mobile Arena for UFC 306 as a result of this unexpected action, which prompted him to enter a contract with MGM.
