Following a 12-round battle against Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk emerged victorious as the world heavyweight champion. Fury suffered his first professional loss in his 36th fight following the split decision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. UFC champion Daniel Cormier later endorsed a match between the two boxing champions.

Cormier Called the Match

In a recent video, Daniel Cormier talked about the Usyk-Furry fight, praising both fighters for their efforts. He admitted that pre-fight predictions  suggested Usyk was a big problem for Fury. “A lot of people who know and people we talk to know that Alexander Usyk will have a problem with Tyson Fury,” Cormier said. “I didn’t know he was going to do so much, and I didn’t know he was going to do it. Obviously they knew  Tyson Fury would  fight like he did.”

Cormier said the fight exceeded expectations, with both fighters showing great skill and endurance. He expressed confidence that this exciting match will pave the way for the  inevitable clash. “It was a great match and luckily whoever loses gets an automatic match. “Fighting them today, people will pay a lot of money to see them fight again, I’ll be sitting on the couch watching it again,” said Cormier. 

Usyk vs. Threat: Battle for Riyadh 

Tyson Fury was defeated by Alexander Usyk via split decision in this much awaited bout that took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Due to intense competition, the judges gave this match scores of 114-113, 113-114, and 113-114. Usyk’s triumph not only established him as the heavyweight champion but also made history by being the first man to hold all three heavyweight championships simultaneously for 25 years.  

Controversy and Robustness 

The fight is not a conflict.Although Fury was nearly knocked out in the ninth round from being rattled, he was able to stand up before the referee counted to ten. Although some fans believed that the referee gave Fury a long time to recuperate, Joe Rogan applauded Fury’s toughness. Despite the controversy, Usyka’s victory is a testament to his talent and strength.

Usyk’s Historic Achievement 

Usyk’s win is notable and adds to his  impressive career. Throughout his career, the boxer from Ukraine has proven that he is capable of competing at the highest level and winning the heavyweight championship. After Riyadh’s victory, Usyka is still among the finest fighters in the sport; his tactical technique and tenacity during the full twelve rounds are admirable.
