Gorimbo, who was born in Zimbabwe, experienced severe hardships at a young age and lost his family when he was just thirteen. He works in a mine, where he encounters the hard living conditions of his hometown, in an effort to sustain himself. 

Spark of Hope 

Despite the pressures he faced, Gorimbo refused to elaborate on his circumstances. The discovery of a 12 carat diamond gave him the opportunity to leave Zimbabwe for South Africa in search of a better life. However, his journey was full of challenges, including deportation and abuse by human traffickers. However, Gorimbo’s tenacity and strength did not fade. 

A New Beginning 

In South Africa, Gorimbo’s life suddenly changed when he saw the movie Never Back Down, which sparked his love for mixed martial arts (MMA). With the film’s strength and courage, Gorimble sets out to pursue his new passion. 

Found his Calling 

Gorimbo’s journey led him to the new Cape branch of  Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, where he tried MMA training for the first time. Despite  initial challenges, it found a home at the Black Panther Art Gallery in the South African capital. Under the tutelage of trainer Sloane Goosen, Golimbo honed his skills and began to realize his potential as a boxer.

Move to the United States 

In pursuit of greater opportunities, Golimbo boldly decided to move to the United States and join the MMA Masters Hall in Miami. Under the tutelage of legendary trainers Cesar Canelo and Daniel Valverde, Golimbo continues to hone his skills in preparation for the rigors of professional competition in the UFC. 

The Rock’s Financial and Charitable Problems 

The transition to  full-time fighting was not a challenge for Gorimbo, who faced financial problems early in his UFC career. For just $7  after his first fight in the UFC, Gorimbo’s problem caught the attention of Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. “The Rock” was moved by Gorimbo’s story, he bought a house for the struggling hero, stability and support as he pursues his dreams. 

Personal Tragedy and Triumph 

Ahead of his UFC Fight Night 241 fight against Ramiz Brahimaj, Gorimbo was troubled by the death of his trainer’s mother. Despite the emotional turmoil, Gorimble stuck to his commitment to win in the Octagon to honor his  late trainer’s mother. His warm welcome showed his strength of character and his passion for his team. wonderful victory 

Gorimbo’s sheer strength and stamina paid off as he won his battle against Brahima and emerged victorious. His victory not only boosted his career, but it was a  tribute to  the trainer’s family and strengthened the relationship between the boxer and the trainer. 

Looking to the Future 

Gorimbo’s recent win cemented him as a rising star in the welterweight division, earning him the respect of the MMA community. The victory against Brahima not only confirmed his status in the UFC, but also showed his strength and willpower.
