Sean Strickland Takes No Prisoners, Targets UFC Icons Jon Jones and Conor McGregor
In the volatile world of mixed martial arts, no punches are pulled, and no fighters are exempt from scrutiny. Former middleweight champion Sean Strickland has once again made headlines, this time for taking aim at two of the UFC’s most illustrious figures: Jon Jones and Conor McGregor.
In a candid interview with The Schmo on Tuesday, Strickland didn’t hold back, unleashing a barrage of criticism aimed squarely at Jones and McGregor. Referring to Jones as “a piece of sht,” Strickland minced no words, echoing sentiments shared by many within the MMA community. “The whole world knows that,” he declared, alluding to Jones’ controversial past. “He needs to sack up, fight Aspinall, and f**king just get the sht done.”
Jones, currently recuperating from injuries sustained during training for a showdown with former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 295, finds himself in Strickland’s crosshairs. With Tom Aspinall holding the interim heavyweight championship, Strickland sees an opportunity for Jones to prove his mettle in the octagon once again.

As for McGregor, the Irish superstar’s aspirations for a summer return against Michael Chandler haven’t escaped Strickland’s notice. However, the former middleweight champion remains indifferent to McGregor’s comeback plans, signaling his focus on more pressing matters within the UFC landscape.
