Once a dominant force in the UFC, Ronda Rousey is making headlines again, but not for the reasons she expected. While the UFC Hall of Famer confirms the release of his autobiography and hints at a possible comeback, his comments have led to former UFC star Matt Brown, known for his no-nonsense Brown attitude harshly criticizing Rousey public outrage and after he had dealt with his losses earlier .

Ronda Rousey complained

Rousey recently spoke about her tumultuous UFC career, focusing on the impact of concussions and how they affect her performance. He suggested these injuries set him back, and lamented the prejudice of his career. Rousey has also said she might be booed if she attends a UFC event, a statement she believes reflects the media’s disdain for her.

Rousey’s Mindset

In an interview, Rousey detailed her struggles, especially her losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. He attributes these setbacks to his injuries and intense media criticism. The former champion believes the scrutiny he faced in and out of office has overshadowed his achievements.

Matt Brown’s Criticism

Known for his outspokenness, UFC legend Matt Brown has responded to Rousey’s complaint. In The Fighter vs. The Fighter In the latest installment of The Writer, Brown did not hold back, challenging Rousey’s views on her own career setbacks.

What Brown originally did?

Brown questioned Rousey’s complaint, saying, “What’s the problem? People may have said bad things about you. Welcome to be human. Congratulations on being famous. What do you expect?” he asked. He argues that Rousey’s experience is not unique and that criticism creates the territory of public identity.

The Blame Game

Brown dismissed Rousey’s loss as external factors. He said many fighters including himself faced injuries and hardships but he did not use these as an excuse. Brown believes that publicly admitting these issues can prove to be more of a mere excuse than a graceful acceptance of defeat.

“With any loss, if you can see ahead of time how you got hurt, that’s an excuse,” Brown said. “It’s just unusual.” He argues that Rousey’s explanations for her loss don’t acknowledge that her opponents were dealing with similar issues.

Reactions from fans and photos of Rousey

Brown’s comments reflect widespread sentiment among fans who believe Rousey’s handling of the end of her career was less than exemplary. According to Brown, Rousey’s failure to show humility and her tendency to blame external factors in her pursuits has created a negative impression among fans

The humility needed

Brown believes that if she shows humility, Rousey can regain her place with the fans. “Show me some humility,” he demanded. “If he did, everyone would bow to him again.” Brown believes that changing Rousey’s presentation could help improve her relationship with the MMA community.

A call for better public relations

Brown also advises Rousey to invest in professional public relations to help her manage her image and content. “Hire a half-decent PR person,” he said. “Speak right, the world is yours again.” According to Brown, a strategic change in his public opinion could put him back in the spotlight.

Extensive warrior experience

Brown’s critique extends to universal struggles faced by warriors. She believes Rousey’s issues are no different, even those exacerbated by her high-profile lifestyle. “This is the smell of everyday warriors,” Brown insists. She believes Rousey’s challenges are part of a fighter’s broader experience, and her inability to deal with these pressures is what sets her apart from others.
