Before his eagerly awaited Professional Fighters League (PFL) match, Renan Ferreira has sent Francis Nganno a strong warning. Ferreira is keen to see Ngannou return to mixed martial arts and feels that if he doesn’t give the sport his all, the former heavyweight champion of the UFC may suffer dire consequences.
Nganno had a turbulent year prior to shocking the world with an amazing performance against Tyson Fury in his first boxing fight of the 2023 finals. This past March, Ngannou lost to Anthony Joshua via second-round knockout after narrowly losing to Fury in a split decision. Ferreira is concerned that Nganno’s dual attention to boxing and MMA may be harmful as he gets ready to make a comeback to the sport.

Ferreira’s Warning Message
Ferreira, who ruthlessly crushed Ryan Bader in only 21 seconds during this year’s PFL and Bellator stars champion-to-champion match, thinks Ngannou will have a difficult fight. MMA fans are excitedly anticipating the bout between the two heavyweights, which is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia on October 19.
At a PFL press conference in Washington on Wednesday, Ferreira stated, “Francis is going through a tough year, but the task ahead is much more difficult.” “He realizes he has a significant issue ahead of him that will be challenging to resolve.”
Ferreira has been watching Nganno’s career for a while and believes that this is the moment that “my whole life” has been building toward. The formidable Brazilian is now on a four-fight winning streak and is sure that his excellent training will pay off in the cage.
Ngannou in Addition to MMA Come back
Since successfully defending his UFC title against Cyril Gain in January 2022, Ngannou has not participated in any MMA competitions. Ferreira knows exactly what it takes to get back into MMA after a protracted absence, especially when it comes to competing in a brand-new sport like boxing.
Ferreira stated, “It’s very different from wrestling and it’s a lot of time away from the cage.” Francis has boxed, and I believe he will notice a difference since it’s a completely different sport. Still, he’s a fighter. Given that he is aware that I have the ability to subdue him at any moment, it will be difficult for him to stay on his feet and make the catch.
Ferreira stated unequivocally that despite Ngannou’s strength as an opponent, he must remain totally concentrated in order to prevent any losses. “A lot can happen, but Francis is a great leader, and I know he’s going to take this next fight very seriously.” He faces a serious issue if his mentality isn’t fully focused on this battle.
A Battle for Heavyweights
Ferreira was always certain that he would be the one to accept Ngannou into the PFL apparatus. With Ferreira ending 2023 as the PFL heavyweight champion and Jon Jones and Tom Espinal presently having the heavyweight crowns in the UFC, this bout against “The Predator” isn’t just any other fight—it’s a fight for the greatest heavyweight title in the world.
A Brawl Breaks out.
“This fight is highly anticipated as it features two exceptional heavyweights with comparable fighting styles, aiming for the knockout,” stated Ferreira. Thus, “this is going to be an amazing fight that will determine who the best heavyweight in the world is.”
