The episode, the 2152nd, of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast which featured Hollywood actor Terrence Howard, elicited much controversy over the accusations he made about astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. The tension between Tyson and Howard increased; the two went head-to-head on twitter to comment or elaborate on their sides of the story. Tyson extended the value of experimentation and the scholarly review process, urging scientists to substantiate new theories in academic journals.
On the other hand, even though Howard was a scientist, he received a lot of backlash for his theories which were quite revolutionary and did not align to the standard practice and principles. When Yah Yah in an Instagram post congratulated Howard for a job well done, Rogan joined in the celebration and explained that the show was an eye-opener that could change the scientific narrative.
Recognition from Rogan
Rogan has apparently endorsed Howard’s work in listing of fighters of all time, a list in which Howard featured on. Thus, Rogan appreciates Howard and his work, and this inclusion speaks to Howard’s pleasure and acknowledgment of his inputs and research.
While there are some concerns which can be raised about the fact-checking of Howard’s assertions Joe Rogan the host of the Joe Rogan Experience show supported him for the cognitive work and deep study.
