Merab Dwalishvili, the rising bantamweight champion, isn’t backing down despite facing harsh criticism from Dana White and Sean O’Malley. The Georgia fighter, who is set to challenge for the 135-pound title at UFC 306, has resumed training after suffering a severe cut above his face. This injury is the result of Dvalishvili’s lack of preparation, which some would consider negligence close to the fight.
Dana White was quick to voice his disappointment, calling Dvalishvili “dumb” for taking a risk. Sean O’Malley didn’t stop either, warning of a fight-threatening injury. Despite the backlash, Dwilishvili posted a video on social media of him kicking the pads, with the caption, “24 days out ? Working! Vamos,” showing that he has remained determined, even as concerns grew that the cuts might be O’Malley’s goal. All eyes will be on Sept. 14 to see if Dwalishvili’s goal paid off or if his injury was his downfall.
Henry Cejudo’s Possible Return to Flyweight
Known for his impressive achievements in the bantamweight and flyweight divisions, Henry Cejudo is considering a move back to 125 pounds after a challenging return to UFC Cejudo, who lost to Alzman Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili, respectively, is now focused on that he will reclaim the title.

“I’m after the gold now. I think if I get down to 125 pounds and stay disciplined, I don’t think anybody can beat me,” Cejudo said confidently in a recent interview The former two-time champion is particularly interested in a matchup with a flyweight champion incumbent Brandon Moreno. “I think it’s an interesting fight with Brandon Moreno. He wanted to fight me at 135 and then backed out like a little b*tch,” Cejudo said after jabbing Moreno.
As fans look ahead to what could be an electrifying match, the question remains: can Cejudo recapture his former glory in the flyweight division, or will the weight cut and match prove too much on?
Ronda Rousey Blasts Cris Cyborg
In a shocking revelation, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey has accused Cris Cyborg of using steroids, saying it has contributed to the decline of women’s MMA. Despite being two of the most popular fighters in the sport, Rousey and Cyborg have never faced each other in the UFC. Now, Rousey has rekindled the conversation with her explosive comments.
“Chris Cyborg’s injected steroids into his wrists and muscles. No one wants to see that cheating btch. Just anything written. The division was dying,” Rousey said in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet. She went on to criticize women’s MMA for Cyborg’s alleged actions.
Determined to keep the women’s division alive, Rousey took it upon herself to stay at the front by making sure the presence of Dana White could not be overlooked “It was only a matter of time before the shot of the whole, and there were no female MMAs. So I had that much time to make sure Dana couldn’t go a day without seeing my name somewhere. The rest is history,” Rousey said, highlighting her role in championing the future of women in the UFC.
