This momentous occasion marks the UFC’s triumphant return to the UAE capital, underscoring the enduring partnership between the MMA organization and Abu Dhabi’s vibrant cultural landscape. Notably, this event will be the second of its kind within a year, promising MMA enthusiasts yet another unforgettable experience.
Expressing his enthusiasm for this collaboration, Saleh Al-Geziry, Director General of Abu Dhabi’s DCT, highlighted the significance of creating lasting memories for MMA fans. He remarked, “Some of the most iconic moments in UFC history have taken place during epic Fight Nights — and we are excited to create more spectacular memories for MMA fans.”
Echoing Al-Geziry’s sentiments, UFC’s CEO Dana White emphasized the allure of Abu Dhabi as a destination for fight enthusiasts. “Abu Dhabi is an amazing destination, especially if you are a fight fan,” he said. “I tell everyone to fly in early, check out the amazing food and experiences Abu Dhabi has to offer, and then end the trip with incredible fights.”
This upcoming UFC Fight Night marks the 18th event to be held in Abu Dhabi, a testament to the enduring appeal of the region as a hub for MMA action. From the groundbreaking UFC 112: Invincible in April 2010 to the sold-out spectacle of UFC 294: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2 last year, Abu Dhabi has consistently delivered electrifying moments for fight fans worldwide.
