A Former UFC Fighter Discusses Kayla Harrison’s Dominance: A Potential Future Champion

Few competitors in a sport where legends come and go with every match receive the kind of attention that Kayla Harrison does. The two-time PFL champion is now aiming to establish herself in the UFC, and it’s evident that she has the backing of a devoted UFC fan as she gets ready for her second fight in the Octagon at UFC 307.

Harrison’s next fight is slated to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, this weekend against #2-ranked bantamweight challenger Ketlen Vieira. Harrison might become a UFC superstar if she wins this fight and earns a title chance. Not just the fans, though, are thrilled. Veteran of the UFC Matt Brown recently shared his thoughts on Harrison’s career, and they were nothing short of ferocious.

“Upon Harrison’s arrival, I’m retiring if I’m the champion,” said Brown.

In the most recent episode of The Fighter vs. The Writer, “The Immortal,” Matt Brown, an Ohioan, expressed his belief that Harrison can win the bantamweight class. Harrison’s victory over former champion Holly Holm earlier this year has convinced Brown that Harrison is the weight class’s future.

With a sympathetic yet acerbic tone, Brown remarked, “I feel bad for the girls in that division.” “I’m going to retire if I win. I’m out if I win the fight and I’m Julianna Peña or Raquel Pennington. Doing an Eddie Bravo impression. Take the huge prize and then hang up the rag.

Not always was Brown so certain. Like many others, he was curious about Harrison’s reaction to the weight reduction and whether her performance would change coming from the PFL to the UFC. He said, “I wasn’t quite as big of a believer until I saw her beat Holly Holm.” But what about now? I predict that she will be in charge.

The Kayla Harrison Era in the UFC: A New Power

When Brown projected Harrison’s future in the UFC, he didn’t hold back. He said, “She provided very clear answers to all of my questions.” “I don’t believe anyone can defeat her. We are approaching the era of Kayla Harrison.

The 34-year-old judoka, a two-time Olympic gold medallist, will now have the opportunity to establish herself in one of the most competitive MMA classes. Even former two-division champion Amanda Nunes wouldn’t stand a chance against Harrison, according to Brown.

“Kayla is an absolute terror for this division,” Brown said, projecting Harrison’s impending domination in a fierce tone. “If Amanda ever returns, I believe she will destroy everyone in that division, including her.”

Working out with the UFC’s Best

Harrison isn’t merely practicing by herself. She recently trained with Alex Pereira, the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, showing off her exceptional judo abilities and even bringing the Brazilian fighter down in a drill. Brown’s assertion that Harrison might be an unstoppable force in the bantamweight division was further supported by the insight into Harrison’s obvious grappling prowess that their sparring session provided.

Harrison will have the opportunity to demonstrate that she is a rising star ready to take the UFC by storm as UFC 307 draws near, not simply another fighter on the roster. The world of mixed martial arts will be attentively observing her as she sets her sights on the title and receives accolades from veterans like Matt Brown.

Will Harrison live up to the expectations and lead the UFC into a new era of dominance? Fans of the fighting sport are eager to learn the answer, which should arrive soon.
