Andrade faced Jedrzejczyk for the strawweight belt in 2017 when Andrade rose to the challenge thus starting their first fight encounter. Andrade was defeated by decision although he did not hang in there for a very long time. “[Jedrzejczyk] said he would fight at 125, not 115, and that would be even better for me because I feel great in this division as well,” Andrade stated. “I’m not going to get too worked up with losing weight or anything like that. I believe we will perform well and engage in an amazing battle, and I will regain that. As he gets ready for his next battle at UFC Vegas 97, Andrade’s self-assurance and resolve are evident.
