Jean Silva is preparing to take his disappointment from UFC 301 into an intense showdown with Charles Jourdain at UFC 303. A disappointing win at UFC 301

Silva’s journey to UFC 303 has been a disappointment that turns into stories. He was set to fight William Gomis at UFC 301 but ran into an unexpected setback. Gomis struggled to make weight and was deemed unfit to compete, leading to the cancellation of their fight. Silva never set foot in the Octagon and returned home fueling his desire to fight.

Silva’s feelings for Jourdain are clear: “Charles Jourdain is the man I love the most until I fuck him, because without him there is nothing.” He sees Jourdain as a better matchup compared to Gomis. Silva believes Jourdain’s aggressive fighting style plays into his hands.

Silva is certain that Jourdain’s fighting style will be his downfall. “It would be foolish to argue with me,” Silva said. “It would be like putting my head down and telling me to hammer.” Silva sees Jourdain’s fighting style as an easy opportunity for him to showcase his striking ability.

Silva’s first UFC fight: Victory by knockout

In his UFC debut, Silva made an impressive statement by knocking out Westin Wilson in the first round. Her performance gave her recognition and reinforced her belief in her skills. Currently boasting a 12-2 professional record, Silva is ready to make his second UFC appearance a first.

Silva is in no hurry about his confidence. “Deep down you know I’m going to knock him out,” she declared. Silva likens his approach to Chuck Liddell’s aggressive style, emphasizing his preparation to counter Jourdain’s takedowns and land powerful punches.

Jourdain’s Strength and Silva’s Strategy

Jourdain’s experience in the UFC, with 13 fights under her belt, stands in stark contrast to Silva’s relatively new UFC career. Despite Jourdain’s skills in jiu-jitsu and scrambling, Silva is unfazed. He is particularly confident in his guillotine skills: “If he wants to take me down, I will guillotine him to show people that my guillotine classes are worth paying for”.

Silva insists his confidence should not be mistaken for arrogance. He knows Jourdain’s record and previous victories over Brazilian fighters, but he’s focused on his goal. Silva believes he can compete with the best and is determined to prove himself in this sport.

Silva’s Drive to Know Them

For Silva, UFC 303 is more than just a fight. It’s a chance for him to showcase his potential and make a name for himself in the game. He wants to be famous for defeating top fighters and believes success will follow from his performance.

Silva wants more than just to be crowned champion. He wants credit for his victories over elite opponents. “I want to become well-known for defeating people,” Silva declared. His priorities include becoming respected in the sport and proving his abilities.
