“It makes me angry,” Harrison said bluntly. “First, it annoys me because for once in the history of my very long drug investigation career, I never, ever, did anything to possess anything.” Harrison’s career has spanned two decades, and he has always passed drug tests, an accomplishment of which he is proud.

In Harrison’s words, “It’s more than just war propaganda.” As an athlete and competitor, I have dedicated my entire life to my craft. Because what I say matters, I will never level an unfounded charge.
The emotional toll that these accusations have, particularly when they originate from a well-known person like Pena, is underscored by Harrison’s reply. Peña’s remarks are incompatible with the norms of true sportsmanship, he added, which demands integrity and respect.
