The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and the Serbian MMA Federation have set a historic milestone with the commencement of the first-ever Youth continental tournament, held as part of the IMMAF European Champions in Belgrade, Serbia. The event, which began on Saturday, March 30, showcased the talent and skill of amateur mixed martial artists in the Youth B and Youth C categories.

Ukraine’s Nikyta Popinko displayed exceptional skill by defeating Ireland’s Constantin Tabacaru to claim the gold medal in the Youth C 57kg category. Additionally, Oleksandr VItvitskyialso secured gold in the Youth B 57kg category, further showcasing Ukraine’s talent in the tournament.
The host nation, Team Serbia, achieved its first European Youth gold medal as Mateja Dakserovic delivered a dominant performance in the 72kg Youth B category, triumphing over Vsevolod-Ivan Stefanyshyn from Team Ukraine. However, Serbia experienced disappointment as Vladimir Ostojic was unable to compete in the gold medal match against Martin Petrov from Bulgaria in the Youth B 77.1kg category, settling for a silver medal.
The IMMAF European Championships will continue on Sunday, March 31, with the Youth A tournament, followed by the Juniors and Seniors categories scheduled throughout the upcoming week. The Junior finals will take place on Friday, April 5, while the gold medal matches for all Senior categories are set for Saturday, April 6.
