The once-feared Francis Nganno has started a new adventure in the boxing world. Nganno, who is regarded as one of the most deadly combat sportsmen of this generation, gained international recognition when he switched to boxing. His notoriety and substantial income have increased even after he left the UFC. But after facing Anthony Joshua in the ring, how much money did he really make? You may be surprised by the truth.
A bright future in boxing
Ngannou took the risky decision to embrace boxing after splitting from the UFC; UFC president Dana White publicly questioned this decision. However, the strong Cameroonian Frenchman surprised everyone by making a memorable debut against Tyson Fury. Nganno’s performance caught attention and solidified his reputation in the boxing community even if he didn’t win.
Following his bout with Fury, Nganno faced British boxing sensation Anthony Joshua. Rumors circulated, despite the defeat, stating that Ngannou earned almost $20 million from the fight alone. However, the truth is far different from fiction, as Ngannou recently underlined.
Ngannou sets the record straight on his income
In a candid interview, Nganno addressed reports of his earnings from the Joshua fight. Contrary to rumors that he pocketed $20 million, Ngannou clarified that the figure was incorrect. “I don’t know [because] I haven’t figured it out yet [laughs]. I can’t say if it’s true, but it’s not true [they’ve made $20 million]. Yes [made a lot of money],” Ngannou recounted.
Despite not receiving the rumored income, Nganno expressed satisfaction with his current financial situation, reflecting on his journey from Africa to Europe and finally fulfilling his dream of becoming a fighter which he is after the hard work, while also stressing that money hasn’t changed his outlook on life.
“What about life-changing [money]?… You give someone $10 million, and it’s just another $10 million and he’s not going to change anything in his life. And, you give someone [injustice] $1,000, they turn their life around [or] save their life,” said Ngannou, emphasizing his humble opinion despite the huge amount of money he has raised.

There is a new chapter in the PFL
Ngannou is causing a stir in more areas than just wrestling. Currently ranked 27th in the WBC rankings, Ngannou has established himself as a formidable opponent. That being said, “The Predator” needs to return to the mixed martial arts scene, this time under the Professional Fighters League (PFL) brand.
The battle between Ngannou and Jon Jones, which is expected to be a very popular event, has been much anticipated by fans. Renan Ferreira, a formidable heavyweight who has already defeated former UFC star Ryan Bader, will be Ngannou’s next opponent.
Renan Ferreira: The next big challenge
Nganno’s first PFL opponent might be former heavyweight Renan Ferreira. The Brazilian fighter presents a serious threat to Ngannou because of his amazing speed and athleticism. During a recent visit to Joe Rogan’s show, the host gave Ngannou a harsh warning regarding Ferreira’s potential. “He’s a great guy and he’s legitimate and dangerous.” Rogan warned, “Very athletic, quick,” making it obvious that Ngannou will have his hands full in the forthcoming game.
The MMA community is buzzing with excitement, wondering how Ngannou will match up with Ferreira. Is “The Predator” going to keep terrorizing the PFL, or will Ferreira end up being a roadblock in Nganno’s path? When the two heavyweights eventually arrive at the solution.
