UFC 300 main bout was a match for the Light heavyweight title when the champion, Alex Pereira, TKO’ed challenger Jamahal Hill. Hill, who lost the belt to switched to the light-heavyweight division to compete for a title but he was stunned by a left hook by Pereira.
In the end, the bout was stopped by the referee Herb Dean, something that was the last thing that Hill wanted. In return, Hill went onto Twitter, claiming that Pereira halted a particular match and was exploiting the opportunity to get an upper hand over his rivals, before going ahead to vilify Pereira in his tweets.
The Case of Claimed Racism: The Arm Gesture
The fight in question failed to become the end of the controversy. Hill claimed that after Pereira was declared the winner of the match, he heard the man verbally abuse another fellow in what Hill believed was a racial taunt. Hill said that Pereira insulted him after the fight due to the Brazilian’s post-victory dance imitating Khabib Aliev’s elder brother, Khaby Lame.
Hill seemed to be especially angered by Pereira’s behavior following the bout with which the latter responded to Hill in kind as far as post-fight cordiality is concerned: the former showed Pereira sportsmanship after defeating his friend and mentor Glover Teixeira at UFC 283.

Hill’s Social Media Outburst
The fight also ended in controversy as Hill displayed his disappointment through a social media post where he accused Pereira of taking advantage of a shot during a confusing scuffle. “Oh you really thrown in a punch that you couldn’t anyone to without a side ways confusing thing and do some small shit,” Hill penned down. He assured Malka that he would be able to beat Pereira in the next match they would schedule.
Pereira’s Response
Pereira responded to Hill’s accusations with a terse message: “You reap what you sow, Chama. ” This could be the comedian’s dig on how Hill was during the official face off for UFC 300 where the latter brought with him a mini statue that is bloody with some kind of an Easter Island head which is believed to be the image of Pereira.
However, the expanse fight has not deterred this lady as Hill is set for another bout in the near future. He will support the Conor McGregor’s return fight against Michael Chandler bout UFC 303, scheduled for later in the year if the Irishmen succeeds in recovering before the end of the year. First, Hill was expected to fight Khalil Rountree but his match was changed after the suspension of the latter for using a prohibited supplement in the form of a pre-workout product that contains a prohibited substance.
The expansion of the Octagon has been praised, but people are concerned with how quickly Hill returned. He continues to argue up to the point that because Pereira did not leave him unconscious, there is no reason why he should not fight again. This points to the case of Alexander Volkanovski who succumbed to two straight KOs after remaining adamant to compete shortly after a head-kick KO by Islam Makhachev. Forcible critics and fanatics hope that such shortcomings may also be served to befall Hill in case he resumes rigorous exercises too early.
