 Brazilian-American boxer Rafael Dos Anjos has had a tough time lately, falling behind. Disappointed with the lightweight division, dos Anjos announced on social media that he no longer wanted to be among the lightweight champions. – Take me in the  LW position. “You LWs are out there calling me, I’m not competing with LWs now,” she wrote on Twitter.

Dos Anjos, 39, believes his future is at welterweight. He weighs about 195 pounds, which he says is the right move for his career. “I don’t have  to prove anything to anyone, I’m 39 years old and I weigh 195. I have a lot of fights that I deserve at 170. I want to go back to the UFC next month of July. In that Octagon, he confirmed it. The veteran boxer is eager to return to boxing this summer and is looking for new challenges and opportunities. 

Fan Reaction: Doubts and Criticisms 

Fans had mixed reactions to dos Anjos’ announcement. Many doubted his ability to compete at a higher weight class, especially after his  loss to Mateusz Gamrot. “My brothers are upset because Gamrot beat him and you know how I am too, trying to push the kid,” said one fan.
