Conor McGregor seemed to use social media to channel his disappointment in his UFC 303 withdrawal from Khabib Nurmagomedov. The MMA scene has been rocked since it was announced as ‘The Notorious’ from his bout with Michael Chandler. McGregor later said he suffered a broken ankle which forced him to withdraw from the fight. He has struggled to overcome this setback, saying on social media, “To tell you I am not in great pain watching the Fight Week event right now deep mental pain”.
Remembering the past
However, attacking ‘The Eagle’ in recent unfiltered posts on social media seems to have brought back bad memories for McGregor. The shocking events in Dagestan have put Nurmagomedov in a difficult situation. So ‘The Notorious’ held nothing back when he brought up their famous fight from UFC 229 and had a few choice words for his opponent.

According to online reports, Khabib Nurmagomedov of Makhachkala has been defeated in MMA. Authorities have revealed that former MMA fighter Gadzimurad Kagirov is one of the perpetrators and is connected to The Eagle MMA school
Nurmagomedov condemned the attack and also condemned his association with Kagirov, saying, “[The terrorist] is not our student, that is absolute nonsense, it is not true Yes, he had a camp in the gym for some time , maybe two months. But he was never on the team.” However, Conor McGregor took the opportunity to target Nurmagomedov as he said in a post on X, “I fought this little btch built rat with a completely broken leg. I had to stop like I did this time. Why did I give this little cousin f**ker any advantage. He showed his true chicken heart by literally sht on that bus. B*tch spoiled brat did that. Now you are F**KED! When you die I celebrate!”
Revisiting UFC 229
After their 2018 clash at UFC 229, which broke up in an all-out brawl after Nurmagomedov submitted the Irishman in the fourth round, McGregor claimed he broke his leg three weeks before the fight, putting him at Kara in. However, this was not the only rant the Irish UFC star directed at ‘The Eagle’ as he also alleged in a separate post to X that there was a video of Nurmagomedov performing violent activities “a he bats” in public
Setting more goals
As McGregor deals with his injury, the setback to his career is evident in the attack on Nurmagomedov. But it’s not just ‘The Eagle’ who has been caught in the cross-hairs of McGregor’s social media salvo!
Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov were once best friends and training partners, but their relationship took a turn when Lobov sued the Irishman over a $600 million ‘Proper 12’ whiskey deal Lobov claimed to be a key player in the product in 1999 and claimed a right to share in the proceeds of Mr. McGregor’s sale of the brand
Their relationship soured when Lobov sued McGregor for defamation, and ‘The Notorious’ eventually won, but their legal battle over whiskey is still ongoing and on a series of issues written on X, McGregor shot back at Lobov, saying, “In Russian Born in Ireland to make a profit. You rat b**tard your country at war and you are hiding in Ireland taking advantage and SWEARING ON YOUR SON. Your day is coming and mark my words.”
