The Youth MMA Championship, set to take place at the UAE University, marks the commencement of the federation’s new season calendar. Boys and girls across different age categories, from the youthful energy of Youth C to the budding talent of Youth A, are eagerly preparing to showcase their skills on the mat.

In the ring, participants will engage in fierce competition, with each fight consisting of three intense rounds lasting two minutes each. This championship serves as a pivotal opportunity for athletes to kickstart their season on a high note and put their abilities to the test against some of the nation’s finest talents.

According to Mohammed bin Dalmouk Al-Dhaheri, a distinguished board member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, events like these play a crucial role in nurturing talent and providing aspiring athletes with a platform to shine. He emphasizes the federation’s commitment to identifying and fostering promising individuals who may one day represent the nation on the global stage.

Last year witnessed significant milestones for MMA in the UAE, notably with Abu Dhabi hosting the IMMAF Youth World Championship, garnering acclaim worldwide. The Youth MMA Championship continues this legacy of excellence, preparing athletes for future endeavors while showcasing their remarkable capabilities to the world.

Excitement is palpable among participants like Ghala Al-Hamamdi, who eagerly anticipates the opportunity to demonstrate her hard-earned skills. Representing ADMA Academy in the Youth B division, Ghala embodies the dedication and enthusiasm that characterize young MMA athletes striving for greatness.

Coach Carl Booth shares in the anticipation, expressing confidence in his team’s preparedness and determination to excel in the championship. With meticulous training and unwavering commitment, participants are poised to surpass previous achievements and make their mark in the world of MMA.
