Although the case was dropped, Bennett continued to run into trouble with the law. In 1998, he was arrested for possession of cocaine. Between 1999 and 2009 he was arrested 14 times for offenses including drug dealing, robbery, aggravated battery and possession of MDMA Despite these difficulties, Bennett continued to turn his attention to MMA .

Bennett’s MMA career is as tumultuous as his personal life. He currently has a record of 30 wins, 42 losses and two draws. Despite his explosive power and agility, Bennett has a 12 fight losing streak. Before joining Jorge Masvidal’s bare-knuckle MMA promotion, Bennett fought in Rizin, Elite Extreme Combat and Pride FC. He also competed in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Unfortunately, his recent defeat overshadowed his early success.
